Every person or company that engages in business or provides a service in Morris requires a Town of Morris business licence. This includes businesses located in other communities that operate within the Town of Morris limits.
The only exceptions to this requirement are those businesses operating out a commercial space (either owned or rented) that receive an annual business assessment and business tax statement from the Town.
In order to apply for a Town business licence you will need to fill out a registration form and remit the appropriate fee. This registration form is available in person at the Town office. The following information is required:
- Common and legal name of business
- Street and mailing address of the business
- Business, mobile and fax phone numbers
- Type of business
- Applicant’s signature
- Name of owner or corporate agent with home address and phone number
