Speaking at a Council Meeting
The Town of Morris encourages residents to take an active role in their community by attending and participating in Council meetings. Speaking at a Council meeting provides an opportunity to share your ideas, concerns, or support on matters affecting our town.
How to Register
If you wish to speak at a Council meeting, please submit a written request to the Town Office at least 1 week before the scheduled meeting. Your request should include:
- Your full name and contact information
- The topic you wish to address
- Any supporting documents or materials you would like Council to review
Requests can be submitted by email to the CAO cao@townofmorris.ca or delivered to the Town Office.
Meeting Procedure
- Speakers are generally allotted up to 10 minutes to present.
- Please remain respectful and direct your comments to the Mayor and Council as a whole.
- Council members may ask follow-up questions for clarification.
- Decisions may not be made immediately but your input will be taken into consideration.
