Speaking at a Council Meeting

The Town of Morris encourages residents to take an active role in their community by attending and participating in Council meetings. Speaking at a Council meeting provides an opportunity to share your ideas, concerns, or support on matters affecting our town.

How to Register

If you wish to speak at a Council meeting, please submit a written request to the Town Office at least 1 week before the scheduled meeting. Your request should include:

Your full name and contact information
The topic you wish to address
Any supporting documents or materials you would like Council to review

Requests can be submitted by email to the CAO cao@townofmorris.ca or delivered to the Town Office.

Meeting Procedure

Speakers are generally allotted up to 10 minutes to present.
Please remain respectful and direct your comments to the Mayor and Council as a whole.
Council members may ask follow-up questions for clarification.
Decisions may not be made immediately but your input will be taken into consideration.
