The Morris Cemetery provides a peaceful and respectful final resting place for loved ones, located just as you enter Morris. Maintained year-round by the Town of Morris, the cemetery is a place of remembrance, reflection, and community history.

• Purchasing a Plot: Cemetery deeds can be purchased directly through the Town of Morris Office.

Interment Services

The Town coordinates with funeral service providers to arrange interments. We ensure the grounds are prepared and maintained with care before and after each service.

Rules & Guidelines

To preserve the beauty and safety of the cemetery, please follow these guidelines:

• Decoration Policy: Flowers, wreaths, and other tributes are welcome but should be placed in a way that does not obstruct maintenance. Seasonal clean-up of decorations occurs each spring and fall.

• Monuments & Markers: All new installations must comply with Town standards for size and placement. Please contact the Town Office for approval before arranging for monument work.

• Maintenance: The Town is responsible for mowing, trimming, and general upkeep of the cemetery grounds.

Historical Significance

The Morris Cemetery reflects generations of local history. Many early settlers and notable community members rest here, making it a place of both personal and shared heritage.
