Cashiers:
- Must be 14 years or older
- Must have completed the Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course
- Must hold a valid Standard First Aid / CPR-C Certificate
- A course will be offered this spring and confirmation of sign up
- Must have completed Red Cross Level 10 or Swim for Life Swimmer 9/Star Patrol
- Completion of or enrollment in Bronze Med / Cross is considered an asset
- Must have a desire to pursue a future in aquatics
- Strong math and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Team Player and personable
Lifeguard:
- Valid National Lifeguard Certificate
- Must hold a valid Standard First Aid / CPR-C Certificate
- Valid Bronze Med + Cross Certificates
- If over 18 – Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check
- Strong attention to detail
- Should be able to meet all NL physical requirements.
- Team Player
- Flexible
- Strong Communication Skills
- Understanding of Water Chemistry and water treatment is an asset
Instructor / Guards:
All requirements listed in Lifeguard section PLUS:
- Holds a valid Swim for Life Instructor Certificate or has completed the WSI transition course from Red Cross to Lifesaving Society and willing to take free upgrade clinic in order to instruct patrol levels
- Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) Certificate is an asset.
- Strong written, verbal and oral communication
